The deadline to submit fall hunting applications in Arizona is fast approaching as requests for hunting six species are due June 15.
Arizona Game and Fish department issued the reminder Friday that hunters can apply for licenses for fall turkey, javelina and bison, as well as bighorn sheep, deer and sandhill crane.
To apply, visit www.azgfd.gov/hunting/draw.
Submissions must be received June 15, no later than 11:59 p.m.
The department also stated in a prepared release that an applicant’s hunting or combination hunt and fish license must be valid through June 8. In addition, all applicants, including those ages 10 through 17, who want a hunt permit-tag must have a license that is valid on the last day of the application period.
Licenses can be purchased online at www.azgfd.gov/license/.
AZGFD is available to assist applicants with the application process by calling 602-942-3000. In addition, customer service representatives will be available to provide after-hours assistance — by telephone only — from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday, June 7, and from 5 to 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, June 8.
Amber Munig, big game management supervisor, explained how the draw process works in a prepared video.
