High Country Drivers Face Restrictions This Week

Drivers heading to Arizona’s high country this coming week face a slew of road restrictions.

Beginning Monday, state Route 87 will be narrowed to one lane daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. north of Payson. The restriction will be in place until June 11.

On Monday as well, parts of state Route 89 north of Paulden will be narrowed to one lane from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Elsewhere, state Route 260 will be narrowed to one lane between Camp Verde and Pine from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

And on Tuesday, state Route 89 south of Prescott will be narrowed to one lane from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  

North and southbound U.S. 93 north of Wickenburg will also be narrowed to one lane only from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Wednesday.
