Phil Boas: Trump Not On 2022 Ballot, But Could Play Big Role In Arizona Governor's Race

The Show regularly checks in with the Editorial Board of the Arizona Republic to talk about current issues facing the state and the region — featured in columns on the newspaper’s op-ed pages.

Next year’s ballot in Arizona will feature many statewide races, including governor, attorney general and U.S. Senate, among others.

One office not up in 2022 is president, but columnist Elvia Diaz writes that former President Donald Trump will still play a big role in the election, especially for Arizona governor.

The Show spoke with Arizona Republic Editorial Page Editor Phil Boas to discuss in what ways Diaz is saying the former president will play a sizable role in the upcoming gubernatorial election.
