'I Will Always Put Eyeballs On Things And Make Them Talk': 'Sesame Street' Performer Turns Ice Cream Truck Into Mobile Puppet Venue

The sight of an ice cream truck driving down the street is a highlight for many kids and those who are maybe just young at heart. But Stacey Gordon is looking to add a little felt to the experience.

Gordon is a Valley-based puppeteer who runs the Phoenix puppetry arts studio Puppet Pie and also portrays the character Julia on Sesame Street.

She recently bought an ice cream truck that she’s converting into a puppetry arts venue that she can take on the road — a slightly different form of good humor. She plans for it to be ready to roll this summer.

The Show spoke with Gordon to learn more about how taking to the road can make her work more accessible to people.
