The clock is ticking on the current fiscal year.
As of June 21, there are 10 days left until the calendar turns, and state lawmakers and the governor still have not approved a new budget.
Gov. Doug Ducey has been trying to drum up support for the flat tax proposal he and Republican legislative leaders are pushing as part of the new spending plan. But so far, they still appear to be short of the votes needed to move it through the House and Senate.
