For the purpose of hypothesizing, let’s say you were given the choice of being selected for a MacArthur "genius grant" or winning a Pulitzer Prize.

You may be excited about the opportunity for either one and not be able to pick. Or you could be an incredibly rare person like poet and Arizona State University's professor Natalie Diaz and accomplish both.

Earlier this month, Diaz was awarded a Pulitzer for her poetry collection, "Postcolonial Love Poem."

The Show spoke with her about the honor and her creative process.
