The Arizona Senate passed a nearly $13 billion state budget earlier this week, and the House is scheduled to follow suit June 24. But money isn’t the only thing in the state budget — it also includes broad changes to election laws.
Some of those changes are inspired by unfounded conspiracies that the election was stolen, and county election officials say they’re unnecessary and cumbersome.
To break down the new election law changes tucked into the budget, The Show spoke with Jen Marson, executive director of the Arizona Association of Counties, which represents county recorders and elections directors.
