It’s almost July and the Arizona Legislature’s annual session is finally winding down, marking one of the longest sessions in recent history.
But before they can close down for the year, Republican lawmakers in the House and Senate have to hash out their differences on a handful of budget items. And they’re passing a host of last-minute bills that had otherwise stalled out.
Democrats have largely been sidelined throughout the budget process, and they’re mostly trying to stop bills from coming back to life.
The Show spoke with state Rep. Reginald Bolding, the House Democratic leader, for an end-of-session update.
