The White House has put out state-by-state fact sheets to drum up support for an infrastructure framework crafted by a group of bipartisan senators.
The two-page document has many numbers to show Arizona’s infrastructure needs, and says extreme weather has cost the state up to $10 billion in recent years.
But the White House didn’t give specifics on how much money would come directly here. The group of five Republicans and five Democrats in the Senate have only agreed to a blueprint for legislation.
White House officials highlighted some of the same talking points used by Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, who is part of the bipartisan Senate group.
One goal is to connect all Arizonans to reliable high-speed internet.
Roughly 14% of the state lives in places where there isn’t broadband infrastructure to support what the White House calls an acceptable speed.
