Scottsdale Woman Indicted In Voting With Name Of Deceased Mother

A Scottsdale woman has been indicted on charges related to voting in the name of a deceased person.

The Attorney General’s Office says a state grand jury has indicted Tracey Kay McKee with one count of illegal voting and one count of perjury.

McKee allegedly signed her deceased mother’s name on an early ballot that she cast in the 2020 general election. Her mother died on Oct. 5, 2020.

The AG's Office says the case was investigated and prosecuted by its Election Integrity Unit, which has five active election-related criminal cases in Superior Courts statewide.

McKee is scheduled to appear in front of the Maricopa County Superior Court on Aug. 11.
