Voting is considered to be one of the most important rights a U.S. citizen has. And one of the longest-lasting battles in politics has been over whether voter suppression or voter fraud is more of a problem.
Since last November, we’ve seen a number of states — including Arizona — consider new legislation that would affect just how easy — or difficult — it is to cast a ballot. And the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision on so-called ballot harvesting in our state is expected to be far-reaching.
Interfaith groups are working harder now to do what they can to support communities that may be facing greater voting challenges because of moves by lawmakers. To learn about their efforts, The Show spoke with Rev. Katie Sexton-Wood of the Arizona Faith Network.
