The Show regularly checks in with the Editorial Board of the Arizona Republic to talk about current issues facing the state and the region — featured in columns on the newspaper’s op-ed pages.

As a U.S. Senate candidate, Democrat Kyrsten Sinema ran as a centrist — with the word "independent" being used frequently in her campaign ads.

Since becoming a senator, Sinema has worked with colleagues on both sides of the aisle, and she’s credited with being one of the leaders of a bipartisan infrastructure package that is making progress in Washington, D.C.

But she has faced deep criticism from more progressive members of the Democratic Party, some of whom want her to face a primary challenge when she’s a candidate again in 2024.

The Show spoke with Phil Boas of the Republic about the newspaper’s weekend editorial about Sen. Sinema.
