The National Park Service has announced another boat ramp will close as Lake Powell drops to historic lows.
It won’t be long before the main launch ramp at the Wahweap Marina will not be usable for boat launches or retrievals.
The Park Service warns that this could happen in about a week, though it plans to upgrade an auxiliary ramp for retrievals of stranded vessels.
The agency has closed a number of ramps due to falling water levels at the lake, which recently fell to its lowest level on record.
