How The Pandemic Has Affected City Walkability

Among the countless parts of our lives that have been modified by the pandemic is transportation. More people worked from home for at least a year, and fewer of us are comfortable taking public transit.

In recent episodes, The Show heard from U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Valley Metro CEO Scott Smith about those — and related — topics.

Now The Show turns to Jeff Speck to learn more about how the pandemic has affected choices to get around on our own without cars or buses or light rail.

Speck is a city planner and author of the book "Walkable City."
