Last month on The Show, we heard from Arizona Housing Director Tom Simplot about the new low income housing tax credit which provides an annual $4 million for developers to finance much-needed affordable housing in the state.
One new Phoenix development will take advantage of a similar tax credit.
The Moreland is being developed by nonprofit community development organization Native American Connections in partnership with the city of Phoenix. It will give people who make an average of $24,000 a year a place to live — right in the heart of downtown Phoenix.
The Show spoke with Native American Connections’ real estate development director Joe Keeper to learn about the development.
