Three men from the East Valley have been indicted on charges related to illegally purchasing and selling firearms.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Phoenix says a federal grand jury returned a 65-count indictment against Chris Oliver and Dion Delpino of Gilbert, and Michael Kelly of Tempe for making false statements to acquire firearms.
Oliver also faces charges of dealing firearms without a license.
The three men are accused of buying more than 100 firearms from licensed dealers and then reselling them in Arizona and elsewhere.
Phoenix is one of several cities across the country the Department of Justices has cited as a key region for disrupting illegal firearms trafficking.
If convicted, the men could be fined hundreds of thousands of dollars and sentenced to several years in prison.
