The Arizona Department of Health Services is reporting a second straight day of more than 3,000 new COVID-19 cases.
The state reported 3,418 additional cases on Saturday, along with 1,601 COVID-19 inpatients in state hospitals.
Before Friday, Arizona last reported more than 3,000 new COVID-19 infections in February. The number of hospitalizations is the highest since Feb. 20.]
Daily cases are reaching similar levels to those of summer 2020, but deaths and hospitalizations remain significantly lower.
Over 46% of the state’s population has been fully vaccinated, placing it 32nd out of 50 in that metric.
