How Colorado River Water Cuts Could Impact Arizona Farmers

Pinal County farmers will be taking the brunt of Colorado River water cutbacks — up to 60%.

There are more than 19,000 farming and ranching operations in Arizona, covering more than 26 million acres. And the industry has a $23 billion impact on the state’s economy.

Stephanie Smallhouse is the state president of the Arizona Farm Bureau and a fifth-generation rancher here.

The Show spoke with her to learn about what this means for farmers.
