The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has issued a finding on Arizona’s sport fishing program, which is good news for Arizona anglers.
Arizona stocks fish on rivers, creeks, ponds and lakes throughout the state and maintains hatcheries, which primarily raise trout.
The Arizona Game and Fish Department uses federal funding for these programs.
That funding comes up for renewal about every decade, which triggers a review by Fish and Wildlife.
The state says that hundreds of thousands of anglers fish in Arizona every year.
