Job Recruiter Survey Shows Many Employees And Job Seekers Want Flexibility

As more employees are being required to return to their workplace, changes at their job site such as vaccine mandates and safety requirements like social distancing and wearing masks are prompting some to leave and others to seek employment that offers more flexibility.

Travis Laird, vice president for human resource consulting firm Robert Half in Phoenix, said remote work is key for about a third of the job candidates they’ve recently surveyed.

“We have a great group of employees or candidates, but their one must-have on their list is ‘I need to continue to work remote.’ Roughly a third of candidates have said that if they’re required to go back into the office they may consider a job change,” he said.

Laird also said even those who are vaccinated may not want to share that information with an employer.
