The Chandler Police Department announced Tuesday it found no foul play in its investigation into the explosion last week at a strip mall print shop.
The explosion near Rural and Ray roads that injured four people was the result of an unintentional natural gas leak ignited by an independent ignition source, the department said in a Tuesday statement. The cause was determined to be accidental and not criminal.
Now that investigation has wrapped up, the building has been turned over to UMC Real Estate Services, a property management company.
Three of the four people injured, identified as 29-year-old Dillion Ryan, 39-year-old Andrew Ryan and 29-year-old Parker Milldebrandt, were inside Platinum Printing at the time of the explosion. The fourth individual, identified as 58-year-old Glenn Jordan, was inside the an eyeglass repair business to the west.
All four are still receiving medical care at a local hospital, the department stated.
