Gov. Doug Ducey reiterated Aug. 31 that he won’t move to make changes that would allow public schools in Arizona to implement mask mandates, as COVID-19 cases continue to cause concerns.
Ducey did, though, stress the need for more Arizonans to get vaccinated.
That’s a prime reason former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Richard Carmona has been brought on board as a senior advisor to the governor on emergency health preparedness.
