The Tempe Healing Field is back, where more than 100 volunteers will plant flags at Tempe Beach Park. They will be remembering the lives lost after the 9/11 attacks 20 years ago.
Nick Bastian chairs the event.
"It’s called a healing field and it really seems like this year people really resonate with that. Right? There’s a lot of reasons that our country’s looking to heal," Bastian said.
Last year, the event was virtual, and the flags were not put up. This year, Bastian says the flags will stand through the weekend.
