Pima County continues to see a high number of COVID-19 cases, and schools have been a hot spot.
Dr. Theresa Cullen, Pima County health director, says the vast majority of cases in schools involve kids.
“We continue to have a significant number of cases, where over 1,800 cases reported from K-12. Over 1,650 students, the other reports are for staff or faculty, and we’ve had 66 outbreaks,” Cullen said.
While she recognizes that there may be a leveling of overall county case numbers, she says they’re still too high.
