A first look at Arizona's new redistricting maps shows tribes may have less say in representation

After two public meetings this week, the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission now has template maps for how the new congressional and legislative lines will look for the next decade.

Early reactions show the Navajo Nation and Native American voters more broadly might have less say in who represents them, which could be problematic as the line drawing continues to unfold.

These maps are still preliminary and will likely go through further modifications.

To explain what this means in the highly politicized topic of redistricting, The Show heard from Jeremy Duda of the Arizona Mirror.
