A college graduate earns about $20,000 more a year than a high school graduate, according to a study by the Arizona Board of Regents.
The chair of the Arizona Board of Regents Lyndel Manson says a college degree is becoming more important as technology advances.
“They have more opportunities in the job market. They have better health outcomes. They have less interaction with the judicial system. There’s just a whole host of ripple effects," Manson said.
Manson says last year more than 300,000 Arizona university graduates earned under $24 billion in Arizona wages.
