Q&AZ: Which Phoenix cultural institutions require masks or vaccinations?

Many concert venues around Arizona are requiring either proof of vaccination or a recent negative PCR test before entering the venue.

Through KJZZ's Q&AZ Project, a listener asked: What are the mask and vaccination requirements for Phoenix cultural institutions like the Phoenix Symphony, Arizona Opera, Ballet Arizona and the Phoenix Art Museum?

The Phoenix Convention Center, which operates the Phoenix Symphony, gives event producers the choice to require masks and proof of vaccination or negative tests. The Phoenix Symphony is requiring both masks and proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test.

The Arizona Opera is requiring proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test, as well as requiring masks for all patrons, including those who are vaccinated.

Ballet Arizona is requiring masks for all patrons, but proof of vaccination or a negative test is not required.

While the Phoenix Art Museum does not require masks, the institution still strongly recommends wearing one while indoors. Proof of vaccination or a negative test is also not required.

EDITOR'S NOTE: This story has been updated to include the Phoenix Symphony's new policy.
