A federal judge in Mexico has ordered health authorities to expand the vaccine plan to include millions of 12- to 17-year-olds.
The ruling gives those authorities until Thursday to modify the national vaccine plan to include all minors in that age range, according to a reportin the national daily Reforma. Currently only those with certain health conditions are included.
Hugo López-Gatell, head of Mexico’s coronavirus response, said that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s directive to respect and abide by court decisions is clear.
As of Tuesday morning, he said they had yet to receive official notification of the ruling.
