The state reported 2,386 new positive COVID-19 cases and six deaths Oct. 14, bringing the cumulative totals to more than 1.13 million known positive cases and 20,453 Arizonans who have died as a result of the virus.
We are now nearing the two-year mark from when COVID-19 was first discovered. And new cases are beginning to wane nationwide.
So are we beginning to reach a point, once again, where the end of the pandemic is finally in sight?
For an answer to that question, The Show spoke with Dr. Saskia Popescu. She's an epidemiologist for the University of Arizona and George Mason University.
