While cases of COVID-19 are going down around the country, they are remaining steady in Arizona.
Over the weekend, Arizona surpassed New York in COVID-19 deaths per capita, and the Washington Post reported the state saw a 138% increase in the seven-day rolling average of new deaths per 100,000 people.
This comes as health officials in the state and across the country are preparing for the Food and Drug Administration to issue emergency-use authorization for Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for children as young as 5 years old.
