What has alarmed many observers and has raised concerns about democracy and coexistence is how difficult it has become for Americans to agree on basic facts — and having any arguments about public policy or personal beliefs stem from that.
Jonathan Rauch of the Brookings Institution and author of "The Constitution of Knowledge" is one of those observers who has seen misinformation taken to a whole new level — one that has put the nation in a daunting position.
Rauch will be speaking Oct. 28 as part of Arizona State University's School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership. His presentation is called, "Rescuing Reality: Can Americans Have Shared Facts Again?"
