Arizona bringing in millions more in tax revenue than forecast so far this year

Arizona’s fiscal picture in September was rosy.

Numbers from legislative budget analysts show tax revenue collections that month were nearly $300 million above the projection. For the year, the state has collected almost $640 million more than the original forecast.

To get a sense of why this may be happening and what it means, The Show spoke with Beth Lewallen, owner of Italicized Consulting.
