Larry Fitzgerald is among the Suns co-owners supporting Sarver

Control of the Phoenix Suns, valued by Forbes at $1.8 billion, is what’s on the line for managing partner Robert Sarver now that the NBA is reviewing toxic workplace allegations.

Arizona Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald is among a group of partners with minority stakes in the Suns who’ve come to Sarver’s defense.

A statement from Fitzgerald and other Suns co-owners said they all dispute an ESPN report’s characterization of Sarver and the organization, which includes the Phoenix Mercury, as sexist and racist.

Suns star Devin Booker said Thursday that he expects the NBA’s investigation to deliver facts.

“Instead of he said, she said. And I’m sure the NBA has it in good hands, and [will] do the proper research, to find out the truth,” said Booker.

Not on the list of Suns co-owners backing Sarver are Dyal Capital Partners or Jahm Najafi. They issued separate statements on Thursday calling Sarver’s alleged behavior extremely concerning and unacceptable.
