The Show regularly checks in with the Editorial Board of the Arizona Republic to talk about current issues facing the state and the region — featured in columns on the newspaper’s op-ed pages.
All of the high-profile candidates in Arizona’s Republican gubernatorial race have made loyalty to former President Donald Trump a top priority — at least in public statements. That is happening despite Trump’s 2020 loss in Arizona.
Meanwhile, Virginia’s GOP gubernatorial nominee Glenn Youngkin won that state’s general election recently, and many observers are saying his victory was a result of talking about issues relevant to Virginia rather than focusing on Trump.
Republic columnists Bob Robb and Jon Gabriel are two of those observers.
The Show spoke with Phil Boas of the Republic about what Gabriel and Robb wrote over the weekend.
