$100 million of federal funds used to expand internet access in Arizona

Communities can apply for funding to expand broadband internet access. The funds come from the American Rescue Plan Act.

Urban areas in Maricopa and Pima Counties can apply for up to $5 million, while areas in Arizona’s other counties can apply for up to $10 million.

Some money can also be used to reimburse the costs of construction, installation or improvements to internet infrastructure.

The deadline to apply for the funds is Dec. 10.
