When Arizona voters legalized recreational marijuana with their approval of Proposition 207 last year, it also meant some marijuana convictions would be expunged.
Now, a new investigation from the Arizona Republicfinds cannabis convictions in the state disproportionately impact people of color and that their first conviction on a pot charge often led to other charges, once they were released from prison.
