Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s favorability is not high in Arizona. An equal number of people favor her actions as those who disapprove.
But, according to a new poll from OH Predictive Insights, the number of Democrats who want to keep her as senator is even lower.
About one in four Democrats want her as their senator. Almost twice as many Democrats would favor Ruben Gallego if he were to run in a primary election today than Sinema.
Many Democrats are unhappy with her recent moves to hold up the reconciliation bill, and her views against abolishing the filibuster.
Sinema says the process can be used when necessary to block bad legislation and forces dialogue between the parties.
But her interest in reaching across the aisle isn’t garnering the number of Republican voters she would need for reelection. Seventy-five percent of them would still rather have someone from their own party.
