Poll: AZ shoppers to spend less this holiday season than 2020 average American

The holiday season is here and shoppers are out spending.

But a  new poll found that in this holiday season, Arizonans are predicted to spend less than the average American planned to spend last year.

Mike Noble with OH Predictive Insights says they surveyed more than 850 Arizona adults.

“The survey asked respondents an open-ended question regarding the amount of money they anticipate spending on holiday gifts this year, which found that on average Arizonans plan to spend between $400 and about $655 on holiday shopping," Noble said.

Noble says that is compared to the 2020 national average of $650 planned.

The survey also predicts women will spend more money than men, by a nearly $200 median difference.
