Sunrise Park Resort, a place to ski in Apache County, has delayed its opening because of warm temperatures and a lack of natural snow this year.
Tyler Schultz with the resort says it has been creating artificial snow.
“Currently, we’ve been making snow nightly since Nov. 11, as the weather conditions allow. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen very cold temperatures this year and that’s been impeding our snow-making a little bit," Shultz said.
Schultz also says when it gets colder, it will start making snow during the day. Its opening is now Friday, Dec. 10. Certain trails and attractions will open depending on the amount of snow.
