Unemployment in Arizona dropped from 5.2% in October, to 4.7% in November.
Doug Walls with the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity says that is a significant benchmark.
"That 4.7% matches the recent pre-pandemic unemployment low, so that 4.7% was also recorded back in December of 2019," Walls said.
Walls also says the biggest job gains were in trade, transportation and utilities.
He also says this is the third consecutive month that the unemployment rate has declined – down a total of 1.5 percentage points in that time.
