NHL postpones Coyotes game as sports leagues struggle with COVID-19 outbreaks

The Arizona Coyotes’ Sunday game in Vancouver has been postponed, as the National Hockey League and other professional sports are struggling with a new surge of COVID-19.

The NHL has postponed the Coyotes game, as well as several others involving teams with players in COVID-19 protocols. The Coyotes have placed three players and multiple staff members on the team’s COVID-19 list in the past week.

Arizona Cardinals center Rodney Hudson was placed on the COVID-19 list ahead of the team’s game against the Lions in Detroit, and several Los Angeles Rams players were placed on the list after playing the Cardinals Monday.

The Suns have had only one player miss time with COVID-19 this season, but more than half of NBA teams currently have players in health and safety protocols. On Sunday night, the Suns play the Charlotte Hornets, who recently had five players exit protocols.
