Northern Arizona Healthcare executives concerned about hospital capacity

Northern Arizona Healthcare executives say hospital capacity continues to be tight, with most of the COVID-19 ward being filled by unvaccinated patients.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Derek Feuquay added it has been a strain on staff.

"On a day to day basis, we have been as busy as we’ve ever been, I would say since last July," Feuquay said.

Feuquay says about 20% of patients in Flagstaff Medical Center are COVID-19 positive, and about 40% at Verde Valley Medical Center are COVID-19 positive.
