Why diabetics are more susceptible to serious cases of COVID-19

We know that the effects of COVID-19 can be relatively mild or extremely harsh, and that those who suffer from preexisting diseases or health conditions are more susceptible to serious cases and further health complications.

Dr. Shad Marvasti is director of public health, prevention and health promotion at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix.

The Show spoke with him to delve into the connections between diabetes and COVID-19.
