While the Phoenix area is expecting rainfall in the coming days, northern Arizona residents should expect some snowfall, which means the Arizona Department of Transportation is warning drivers of dangerous conditions.
ADOT says enough snow fell Friday to expect icy road conditions throughout northern Arizona, and the department may deploy snowplows throughout the week.
The department also says that snowfall will continue into the week, and roads near Payson, Prescott and Seligman could be slick as a result.
ADOT is reminding drivers to slow down and leave extra room between drivers, be prepared by dressing for cold weather, make sure your vehicle is in good condition and bring an emergency kit.
The department says drivers should notify someone of their route, destination and anticipated arrival time, and make sure their tank is full before departing./p>
