The Arizona Department of Health Services tracks baby names and creates a list of the 100 most popular choices for girls and boys each year. This year’s list has been released.
The most popular name for girls in the state was Olivia with Liam holding the title for boys.
While the lists are fluid from year to year, some names remain consistently popular. Liam has remained at the top for the last five years.
Other boy names such as Michael and Daniel have stayed relatively high on the list for years.
But that isn’t necessarily the case for girls. Even though Olivia has stayed at the top for the last three years, data from the last 45 years shows the most popular name for girls changes more often than for boys.
