Fruitcake lover hopes to change the reputation of this much-maligned holiday tradition

It has been a longstanding holiday tradition, although over the past few decades, there may have been more digs taken at them than bites taken of them. We're talking about fruitcake.

It has been much maligned and ridiculed, but Jeff Miller hopes that’s changing.

Miller is an associate professor in the hospitality management program at Colorado State University, and he has studied the history of the fruitcake

The Show spoke with him and started the conversation by asking what got him interested in looking into the history of fruitcakes.
