Three people are accused of nabbing two high-priced dogs from a residential yard a week before Christmas. Two days later, Glendale police reunited the dogs with their owner.
Neighbors saw three people picking up a French bulldog and English bulldog outside and driving away with them.
“Not only was it around the holidays, but they were in the process of moving to Texas. So they were concerned that they were going to have to leave the state and they would not have their dogs returned to them,” said Jose Santiago, a spokesman for the City of Glendale.
After the theft, a suspect later identified as April Wilder went to the owner seeking a reward for one of the dogs. The owner recognized Wilder and her vehicle from the neighbor’s description and called police. Police arrested Wilder, who told them where the other dog was and led them to two additional suspects. All three face multiple charges, including felony theft.
