The pandemic is creeping toward its second birthday, impacting hundreds of thousands of people around the world. But for a long time, many of us didn’t know anyone who actually had COVID-19.
That’s changed in the last month as the latest surge of the omicron variant has brought the virus much closer to home for many, including Mattie Lord of Phoenix.
The grants manager and mother of two teens took all the precautions, and still got COVID-19.
Lord said the symptoms were mild, but the virus also came with an emotional toll for her. The Show spoke with her to learn about her experience.
