Arizona has reached another grim COVID-19 milestone. Officials added 10 more deaths to its daily dashboard Jan. 13, putting the state at more than 25,000 fatalities since the pandemic began.
The department of health services also reported the second-highest number of daily infections, with 18,573 additional cases.
Typically, when people are locked up in close quarters, you can expect a baby boom. That hasn’t happened during the pandemic, in part because people are unsure about the impact of COVID-19, now and in the future.
In fact, researchers are seeing lower birth weights and an increase in the number of stillbirths to women who have had COVID-19.
