Spring training tix on sale as baseball labor talks resume

Exhibition games for Major League Baseball teams that hold spring training in Arizona are scheduled to start on Feb. 26th.

To avoid a delay, team owners and players have about a month left to reach a deal on a new collective bargaining agreement.

Talks resumed last week after a lengthy hiatus. Observers noted little apparent progress after the owners made a proposal and players agreed only to reply.

A shortened or canceled spring training would be the third disruption in as many years to a key source of the state’s tourism money.
